Waspaloy button head cap screws feature a low-profile rounded head with a wide bearing surface for clamping. They combine the similar shape of a pan head with the driver of a socket head, providing a lower and wider profile compared to standard socket head cap screws. This design is ideal for low clearance applications that require a large area clamping face, and can be useful when the clamping material is too thin to counter-bore. Head dimensions conform to ISO 7380 (metric series) and ASME B18.3 (inch series). Available in diameters from M3 to M48 (#4 to 2").
Waspaloy button head cap screws feature an internal hex socket drive (Allen) that provides positive torque transmission and allows for flush or recessed installations. The socket driver is ideal for low clearance applications and enables high preload values essential for critical bolted joints in high-temperature environments. Precision-formed sockets ensure consistent engagement and minimize cam-out during assembly. Custom drives (Torx, tamper-resistant) available upon request.
Waspaloy button head cap screws available with Unified Coarse (UNC), Unified Fine (UNF), UNJF-3A (aerospace), and metric coarse threads. Thread classes 2A, 3A, 6g. Precision rolled threads for superior fatigue life. Full thread standard; partial thread available for custom applications. Standard metric pitches from M3 (0.5mm) to M48 (5.0mm). Custom thread specifications available upon request.

RAYCHIN LIMITED manufactures Waspaloy button head cap screws from vacuum induction melted (VIM) and vacuum arc remelted (VAR) or electroslag remelted (ESR) material conforming to the most widely used national and international specifications. All material is traceable to the mill.
Our Waspaloy button head cap screws are produced from vacuum induction melted (VIM) and vacuum arc remelted (VAR) material conforming to the following limits per AMS 5708, AMS 5544, and ASTM B637 standards.
Metallurgical note: Waspaloy is a precipitation-hardening nickel-based superalloy strengthened through the formation of gamma prime (γ') phase Ni₃(Al, Ti) in a disordered FCC matrix (γ). The alloy is produced by vacuum induction melting (VIM) and vacuum arc remelting (VAR) or electroslag remelting (ESR) to ensure high purity and consistent properties. High-temperature strength is obtained from solid solution strengthening elements (molybdenum, cobalt, chromium) and aging elements (aluminum, titanium). The alloy maintains excellent strength and stability at temperatures exceeding those of Alloy 718, making it the preferred choice for critical rotating applications up to 650°C (1200°F). Boron content (0.003-0.010%) plays a critical role in creep resistance and ductility at elevated temperatures.
