RAYCHIN LIMITED is a recognized expert in Alloy 330 nuts — from Alloy 330 hex nuts, Alloy 330 heavy hex nuts, Alloy 330 jam nuts, Alloy 330 lock nuts to custom non-standard configurations. Alloy 330 (UNS N08330) is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium superalloy with silicon addition, specifically designed for high-temperature service up to 1150°C (2100°F). This alloy offers exceptional resistance to carburization, oxidation, and thermal shock, making it the preferred material for nuts in heat treating equipment, furnace components, gas turbines, petrochemical processing, and other high-temperature industrial applications. The alloy's high nickel content (34-37%) provides excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and maintains a stable austenitic structure at all temperatures. Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) enhances oxidation and carburization resistance at elevated temperatures. Our portfolio includes nuts manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards. Engineered for extreme environments where high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance are critical. Alloy 330 nuts are supplied in solution annealed condition with full traceability and third-party certifications.
Alloy 330 hex nuts manufactured to DIN 934, ISO 4032 (Style 1), ISO 4033 (Style 2), and ASME B18.2.2 standards. Available in UNC, UNF, and metric coarse/fine threads. Precision tapped to Class 2B and 3B tolerances for reliable engagement with mating bolts and studs. Ideal for high-temperature applications up to 1150°C in furnace components, heat exchangers, and structural assemblies. Available in sizes from M3 to M100 (metric) and #4 to 4" (inch). Supplied in solution annealed condition per ASTM B511. Proof load testing ensures compatibility with mating fasteners.
Alloy 330 heavy hex nuts manufactured to DIN 6915, ISO 4034, and ASME B18.2.2 standards. Features a larger wrenching surface compared to standard hex nuts, providing increased bearing area for high-temperature flange connections and pressure vessel applications. Essential for API 6A and ASME B16.5 bolting assemblies in high-temperature environments. The heavier cross-section distributes load more effectively and resists dilation at elevated temperatures. Available in sizes from M6 to M100 (metric) and 1/4" to 4" (inch). Supplied in solution annealed condition per ASTM B511.
Alloy 330 jam nuts manufactured to DIN 439, ISO 4035, and ASME B18.2.2 standards. Reduced height nuts designed for applications with limited clearance or as locking nuts in conjunction with standard hex nuts. Ideal for adjustment applications and where space constraints require thinner profiles. Available in UNC, UNF, and metric threads with Class 2B and 3B tolerances. Suitable for high-temperature service up to 1150°C in valve assemblies, instrumentation, and control systems. Precision machined from solution annealed Alloy 330. Sizes from M3 to M100 and #4 to 4".
Alloy 330 lock nuts including all-metal lock nuts (DIN 980, ISO 7042) and nylon insert lock nuts (DIN 985, ISO 7040). All-metal lock nuts feature controlled thread deformation for prevailing torque up to 1150°C. Nylon insert lock nuts provide consistent prevailing torque for repeated use up to 120°C. Designed for high-vibration environments where fastener retention is critical. Available in hex and heavy hex configurations. Suitable for gas turbine assemblies, furnace components, and high-temperature applications. Sizes from M3 to M48.
Alloy 330 slotted nuts and Alloy 330 castle nuts manufactured to DIN 979 and ASME B18.2.2 standards. Features slots cut across the flats to accept a cotter pin or safety wire for positive locking. Ideal for applications requiring absolute retention in high-temperature environments, such as turbine components, furnace rollers, and critical machinery. Available in hex and heavy hex configurations with various slot dimensions. Precision machined from solution annealed Alloy 330. Sizes from M6 to M100 and 1/4" to 4".
Need a special thread configuration, unusual size, or custom locking feature for your high-temperature application? RAYCHIN engineers work with you to produce custom Alloy 330 nuts to your drawing. Options include coupling nuts, weld nuts, tee nuts, cap nuts, and nuts with special locking elements. Alloy 330 maintains useful mechanical properties up to 1150°C (2100°F). At 800°C, tensile strength remains at 150-200 MPa, significantly higher than standard stainless steels. Excellent creep strength at 980°C with 15-20 MPa for 1000 hours.
Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) enhances resistance to carburizing and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1150°C. Chromium forms a protective Cr₂O₃ scale, while silicon contributes to a complex silicate layer that provides exceptional protection in aggressive environments.
Stable austenitic structure at all temperatures provides excellent resistance to thermal shock and thermal fatigue. Low thermal expansion coefficient (14.4-18.0 x 10⁻⁶/°C) matches many ceramics and reduces stress during thermal cycling.
With 34-37% nickel content, Alloy 330 offers practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, making it suitable for applications where both high temperature and chlorides are present.
Remains fully austenitic at all temperatures without sigma phase embrittlement. Magnetic permeability ≤ 1.02, suitable for non-magnetic applications.
High elongation (40-50% at room temperature, 25-35% at 1000°C) ensures good formability and resistance to thermal fatigue cracking.

Our Alloy 330 nuts are produced from melts that strictly conform to the limits below per ASTM B511 / AMS 5716. The high nickel content provides immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking and ensures austenitic stability. Chromium provides oxidation resistance, while silicon addition enhances carburization resistance at elevated temperatures.
Expert note: The high nickel content (34-37%) ensures a stable austenitic structure at all temperatures, eliminating sigma phase embrittlement concerns. Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) is critical for enhanced carburization resistance in furnace environments. Low carbon content (<0.08%) prevents sensitization and maintains corrosion resistance.
Alloy 330 nuts are supplied in the solution annealed condition (1038-1121°C followed by rapid cooling). The data below represent minimum requirements per ASTM B511 / AMS 5716 unless otherwise noted. Proof load testing ensures compatibility with mating bolts and studs.
Alloy 330 maintains useful mechanical properties at elevated temperatures up to approximately 1150°C (2100°F), making it ideal for furnace components and high-temperature processing equipment.
While Alloy 330 is primarily selected for high-temperature strength, it also offers good corrosion resistance in many environments due to its high nickel and chromium content.
Alloy 330 nuts offer excellent resistance to oxidation up to 1150°C (2100°F) in air and combustion atmospheres. The chromium forms a protective Cr₂O₃ scale, while silicon contributes to a complex silicate layer that provides exceptional protection in aggressive environments.
