Our product line encompasses all major configurations including Grade 5 titanium nuts (Ti-6Al-4V) for maximum strength, Grade 2 titanium nuts (commercially pure) for enhanced corrosion resistance, and Grade 7 titanium nuts (Ti-Pd) for extreme chemical resistance – all manufactured to the highest precision standards with controlled heat treatment and full traceability. Titanium alloys offer a unique combination of high specific strength (45% lighter than steel), exceptional corrosion resistance in seawater and chemical environments, excellent biocompatibility, and complete non-magnetic properties. Our portfolio includes all standard and custom configurations manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards, including ASTM F467 (nuts), ASTM F468 (bolts), ISO 4032, DIN 934, and ASME B18.2.2. Whether you require titanium nuts for aircraft assemblies, marine equipment, medical implants, or semiconductor manufacturing, RAYCHIN delivers precision, quality, and full traceability. All mechanical properties are presented in MPa and ksi (kilopound per square inch).
Titanium hex nuts are precision manufactured fasteners with internal threads designed to mate with bolts and studs in lightweight, corrosion-resistant assemblies. Available in inch series per ASME B18.2.2 and metric series per ISO 4032 / DIN 934. Configurations include standard hex, heavy hex (increased bearing surface for high-load applications), thin hex (jam nuts), and slotted nuts. Diameters from M3 to M48 (#0 to 2"). Grade 5 hex nuts offer tensile strength ≥ 895 MPa – comparable to Grade 10.9 steel at 45% lighter weight. Ideal for general-purpose lightweight bolting applications.
Titanium flange nuts feature an integrated flange that spreads load, eliminates the need for washers, and resists vibration. Flange diameter is 25% larger than standard hex nuts, enabling quick, one-step tightening. Serrated flange faces grip metal, increase friction by 30%, and prevent loosening under vibration. Available in M5–M20 (metric) and 3/8-16 UNC (imperial) per ISO 4161, JIS B1190, and ASME B18.2.2. Ideal for race car chassis, motorcycle frames, robotic arms, industrial pumps, and valves.
Titanium lock nuts feature self-locking vibration-proof designs rated to 350°C, ensuring secure connections in aerospace, high-speed rail, and robotic applications. Available in nylon insert type (DIN 985, ISO 7040) heat resistant up to 120°C, and all-metal type (ISO 7042) rated up to 350°C. Maintain ≥ 80% of original torque after 30 reuse cycles per ISO 2320 testing. Perfect for GT race suspensions, robotic joints, and motion-heavy systems. All-metal designs eliminate polymer degradation concerns in high-temperature environments.
Titanium cap nuts feature a dome-shaped closed-end design that blends style with function, shielding exposed bolt ends and protecting threads from damage. Widely used on bicycle hubs, guitar mounts, motorcycle trim, and decorative furniture fittings. Available in M3–M10 sizes per DIN 1587 and ASME B18.2.2. Supplied in 8 anodized colors (purple, gold, burnt blue, red, black) and mirror-polished Grade 2 options for aesthetic customization. Zero corrosion in 3.5% salt spray for 20+ years.
Titanium 12-point nuts feature multi-point internal and external drive allowing precise 30° turns – built for aerospace engines and race car chassis where space is tight and torque is high. Manufactured to MS 21244, NASM 1312-13 standards with stock sizes M8, M10 and UNF/UNJ threads available with ±0.01 mm tolerance. Dual drive system supports fine-thread UNF/UNJ for high-precision fits. Optional MoS₂ coating reduces galling for repeated assembly under high torque. Recommended preload torque for M10: 40–60 Nm.
Need special thread forms, non-standard drive configurations, custom locking features, or unique shapes (wing nuts, square nuts, coupling nuts, castle nuts, sprocket nuts)? RAYCHIN engineers design and produce custom titanium nuts to your exact specifications – any grade (Grade 5, Grade 2, Grade 7, Grade 12, Grade 23 ELI), any condition (annealed, solution treated), with full material traceability. Surface finishes available include plain, passivated, anodized (blue, gold, purple, red, black, burnt), DLC black, and PTFE-coated. Prototype to production volumes supported. Cleanroom wash and packaging available for medical and semiconductor applications.
RAYCHIN LIMITED manufactures titanium nuts from vacuum arc remelted (VAR) or plasma arc melted material conforming to the most widely used national and international specifications. All material is traceable to the mill with complete certifications.
Our titanium nuts are produced from vacuum arc remelted (VAR) or plasma arc melted material conforming to the limits of applicable ASTM and AMS standards.
Metallurgical note: Titanium alloys are lightweight metals with density approximately 4.43-4.51 g/cm³ – about 45% lighter than steel while offering comparable or superior strength. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is an alpha-beta alloy strengthened through a combination of aluminum (alpha stabilizer) and vanadium (beta stabilizer), providing excellent strength, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance. Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium with exceptional corrosion resistance and formability, ideal for marine and chemical applications. Grade 7 contains palladium additions (0.12-0.25%) that significantly enhance corrosion resistance in reducing acids and crevice conditions. All titanium alloys exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance due to the formation of a stable, self-healing oxide layer (TiO₂) that provides protection in seawater, acids, and oxidizing environments. Titanium is completely non-magnetic and exhibits minimal gas discharge, making it ideal for semiconductor and medical imaging applications. When installing titanium nuts, apply a small amount of anti-seize on threads to prevent galling – a common issue due to titanium's tendency to cold-weld under high pressure.
Titanium nuts are supplied in annealed condition per applicable ASTM specifications. Data represent typical values based on industry standards. Proof stress testing per ASTM F467 ensures compliance with specified strength requirements.
Maximum continuous service temperature: Grade 5 – 400°C (750°F); Grade 2 – 300°C (570°F). Lock nuts with nylon inserts limited to 120°C; all-metal lock nuts rated to 350°C. At temperatures above 900°C, protective coatings such as TiAlN are required to prevent oxidation and alpha-case formation.
Titanium alloys are renowned for their outstanding corrosion resistance, often outperforming stainless steel in aggressive environments. The material forms a stable, adherent, and self-healing oxide layer (TiO₂) that provides protection against a wide range of corrosive media. In salt spray testing (10% NaCl, 35°C), titanium exhibits corrosion rates less than 0.01 mm/year, compared to 0.1 mm/year for 304 stainless steel. Titanium is virtually immune to seawater corrosion up to 260°C (500°F) and can survive at ocean depths over a mile below the surface.
◎: Corrosion resistant enough for use. ○: Corrosive but usable depending on conditions. ×: Unusable.
