RAYCHIN LIMITED is a recognized expert in Alloy 330 12 point screws — from Alloy 330 12-point flange screws, Alloy 330 ferry cap screws, Alloy 330 12 point head screws to custom non-standard configurations. Alloy 330 (UNS N08330) is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium superalloy with silicon addition, specifically designed for high-temperature service up to 1150°C (2100°F). The 12-point head design features two overlapped hexagon shapes, creating 12 points of contact with a flanged underside. This design provides higher torque capability compared to socket head cap screws while eliminating recesses that could trap fluid or debris. The flange distributes pressure where the screw meets the surface, eliminating the need for a separate washer. These screws are also referred to as ferry cap screws or 12-point flange screws. The alloy's high nickel content (34-37%) provides excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and maintains a stable austenitic structure at all temperatures. Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) enhances oxidation and carburization resistance at elevated temperatures. Our portfolio includes 12 point screws manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards. Engineered for extreme environments where high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance, and high torque capability are critical. Alloy 330 12 point screws are supplied in solution annealed condition with full traceability and third-party certifications.
Available in UNC, UNF, UNJF-3A, and metric coarse/fine thread configurations.
Alloy 330 standard 12-point flange screws feature the classic 12-point head design with an integrated flange under the head. The driver uses two overlapped hexagon shapes, creating 12 points of contact for superior torque transfer. The flanged underside eliminates the need for separate washers and distributes clamping load evenly. Ideal for high-temperature applications up to 1150°C in gas turbines, furnace components, and heat exchangers. Available in sizes from #10 to 1" (M5 to M24) in various lengths. Supplied in solution annealed condition per ASTM B511.
Alloy 330 ferry cap screws are a specific type of 12-point screw characterized by their external drive configuration. These screws feature a head that combines 12-point external drive with a smooth, round outer profile. The external drive allows for higher torque application while the smooth exterior prevents debris accumulation. Precision rolled threads for superior strength and high-temperature performance. Available in inch sizes from #10 to 1" and metric sizes from M5 to M24. Ideal for applications in tight spaces where weight savings and high torque are critical.
Alloy 330 aerospace 12-point screws manufactured to NAS and MS standards for critical aerospace applications. Need a special head configuration, unusual thread size, or custom drive for your high-temperature application? RAYCHIN engineers work with you to produce custom Alloy 330 12 point screws to your drawing. Options include extra-long lengths, reduced head height, and special thread classes. Expert heat treatment (solution annealed at 1038-1121°C) ensures optimum high-temperature performance. Manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN, KS standards.
Alloy 330 maintains useful mechanical properties up to 1150°C (2100°F). At 800°C, tensile strength remains at 150-200 MPa, significantly higher than standard stainless steels. Excellent creep strength at 980°C with 15-20 MPa for 1000 hours.
The 12-point drive provides more points of contact than hex or socket drives, allowing higher installation torque without damaging the fastener. Handles more torque than socket head cap screws of comparable size, enabling higher preload in critical joints.
Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) enhances resistance to carburizing and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1150°C. Chromium forms a protective Cr₂O₃ scale, while silicon contributes to a complex silicate layer that provides exceptional protection in aggressive furnace environments.
Stable austenitic structure at all temperatures provides excellent resistance to thermal shock and thermal fatigue. Low thermal expansion coefficient (14.4-18.0 x 10⁻⁶/°C) matches many ceramics and reduces stress during thermal cycling.
The flanged underside distributes pressure where the screw meets the surface, eliminating the need for separate washers. Reduces parts count and simplifies assembly in high-temperature environments.
With 34-37% nickel content, Alloy 330 offers practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, making it suitable for applications where both high temperature and chlorides are present.

To serve clients worldwide, RAYCHIN LIMITED manufactures Alloy 330 12 point screws from material conforming to the following national and international specifications.
UNS N08330 1.4886 ASTM B511 ASME SB511 AMS 5716 RA330 Incoloy 330 NS3303
Our Alloy 330 12 point screws are produced from melts that strictly conform to the limits below per ASTM B511 / AMS 5716. The high nickel content provides immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking and ensures austenitic stability. Chromium provides oxidation resistance, while silicon addition enhances carburization resistance at elevated temperatures.
Expert note: The high nickel content (34-37%) ensures a stable austenitic structure at all temperatures, eliminating sigma phase embrittlement concerns. Silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) is critical for enhanced carburization resistance in furnace environments. Low carbon content (<0.08%) prevents sensitization and maintains corrosion resistance.
Alloy 330 12 point screws are supplied in the solution annealed condition (1038-1121°C followed by rapid cooling). The data below represent minimum requirements per ASTM B511 / AMS 5716 unless otherwise noted.
Alloy 330 maintains useful mechanical properties at elevated temperatures up to approximately 1150°C (2100°F), making it ideal for furnace components and high-temperature processing equipment.
While Alloy 330 is primarily selected for high-temperature strength, it also offers good corrosion resistance in many environments due to its high nickel and chromium content.
Alloy 330 12 point screws offer excellent resistance to oxidation up to 1150°C (2100°F) in air and combustion atmospheres. The chromium forms a protective Cr₂O₃ scale, while silicon contributes to a complex silicate layer that provides exceptional protection in aggressive environments.
The silicon addition (0.75-1.5%) provides outstanding resistance to carburization and nitriding at elevated temperatures. Alloy 330 12 point screws are widely used in furnace components and heat treating fixtures where carbonaceous atmospheres are present.
