Nimonic threaded rods feature continuous precision rolled threads along the entire length, allowing for cut-to-length customization and maximum flexibility in high-temperature assemblies. Available in standard lengths of 1m, 2m, 3m, and custom lengths up to 6m. Diameters from M3 to M48 (#4 to 2"). The continuous thread design ensures uniform strength and thread engagement throughout the rod, essential for applications where consistent load distribution is critical at elevated temperatures.
Nimonic 90 threaded rods are produced from a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy offering exceptional high-temperature strength up to 920°C (1688°F) . With high stress-rupture strength and excellent creep resistance, Nimonic 90 is the preferred choice for aerospace and gas turbine applications . Typical tensile strength in precipitation treated condition is 1080 MPa minimum with yield strength of 695 MPa minimum . Used in turbine casing tie rods, combustion chamber supports, and critical fastener applications requiring sustained mechanical integrity at elevated temperatures .
Nimonic 80A threaded rods offer excellent creep and oxidation resistance up to 815°C (1500°F) . This wrought, age-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy is strengthened by additions of titanium and aluminum, providing good corrosion resistance and high tensile properties . Widely used for gas turbine bolts, nuclear boiler tube supports, and automotive exhaust valve applications . Solution annealed and aged material achieves tensile strength of 1200-1400 MPa with good ductility .
Nimonic 75 threaded rods are produced from an 80/20 nickel-chromium alloy with controlled additions of titanium and carbon . Designed for sheet metal fabrications requiring oxidation and scaling resistance together with medium strength at high operating temperatures . Annealed condition offers tensile strength of 750 MPa with excellent formability . We offer surface finishes: plain (as-rolled), chemical cleaned, passivated. Silver plating per AMS 2410 available for anti‑seize and enhanced conductivity – recommended for aerospace threaded rods in high-temperature applications . Controlled solution and precipitation heat treatment processes per BS HR2 and AMS specifications ensure optimal mechanical properties. Standard heat treatment for Nimonic 90 includes solution treatment at 1080°C (1975°F) followed by rapid cooling, and precipitation hardening at 700-750°C (1290-1380°F) for 16 hours with air cooling . For Nimonic 80A, solution treatment at 1080°C followed by age hardening at 700°C for 16 hours . NADCAP accredited heat treatment processes. Specialized thread rolling for accurate thread geometry over full rod length per ASME B1.1 and ISO 261 standards. Class 2A/3A/6g thread fit. Full traceability and destructive/non‑destructive testing available (UT, FPI, MPI). AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management.
