RAYCHIN LIMITED is a recognized expert in Alloy 926 fasteners — from Alloy 926 bolts, Alloy 926 nuts, Alloy 926 screws, Alloy 926 washers, Alloy 926 stud bolts, Alloy 926 threaded rods to custom non-standard configurations. Alloy 926 (UNS N08926 / 1.4529) is a super-austenitic stainless steel with 6% molybdenum and nitrogen addition, developed as an enhanced version of Alloy 904L. This high-performance alloy offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking in aggressive environments containing chlorides, acids, and hydrogen sulfide. The alloy's high nickel content (24-26%) provides excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, while chromium (19-21%) ensures oxidation resistance. Molybdenum (6-7%) and nitrogen (0.15-0.25%) work synergistically to provide superior localized corrosion resistance with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) greater than 33. Our portfolio includes fasteners manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards. Engineered for extreme environments where corrosion resistance and reliability are critical. Alloy 926 fasteners are supplied in solution annealed condition with full traceability and third-party certifications.

Alloy 926 threaded rods manufactured to DIN 975, DIN 976, ASME B18.31.1M, and ASME B18.31.2 standards. Continuous threads along the entire length allow for cutting to any required length for custom applications. Ideal for pipe supports, flange connections, and structural assemblies in corrosive environments. Available in diameters from 1/4" to 4" (M6 to M100) in standard lengths up to 6 meters. Precision rolled threads for superior strength and consistency.
The combination of 6-7% molybdenum and 0.15-0.25% nitrogen provides outstanding resistance to localized corrosion in chloride-containing environments. Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) greater than 33, far superior to 316L and 904L stainless steels.
With 24-26% nickel content, Alloy 926 offers practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking in marine and brackish water applications where standard stainless steels would fail.
Excellent resistance to sulfuric, phosphoric, and organic acids, even when contaminated with chlorides. Copper addition (0.5-1.5%) enhances resistance to reducing acids.
NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 qualified for H₂S environments. Suitable for wellhead equipment, valve assemblies, and subsea connections in oil and gas applications.
Nitrogen addition significantly enhances yield and tensile strengths compared to conventional austenitic stainless steels. Yield strength ≥300 MPa, tensile strength ≥650 MPa.
Maintains useful mechanical properties up to 400°C (752°F) with VdTÜV approval for pressure vessel applications from -196°C to 400°C. Good toughness down to cryogenic temperatures.

Our Alloy 926 fasteners are produced from melts that strictly conform to the limits below per ASTM B649 / ASME SB649. The high nickel content provides immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, while chromium ensures oxidation resistance. Molybdenum and nitrogen work synergistically to provide exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Expert note: The high nickel content (24-26%) ensures a stable austenitic structure and provides excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Molybdenum (6-7%) and nitrogen (0.15-0.25%) work synergistically to provide exceptional pitting and crevice corrosion resistance with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) greater than 33. Copper addition (0.5-1.5%) enhances resistance to sulfuric acid. Ultra-low carbon (<0.02%) prevents sensitization and maintains corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition.
Alloy 926 fasteners are supplied in the solution annealed condition (1150-1200°C followed by rapid water quenching). The data below represent minimum requirements per ASTM B649 / ASME SB649 unless otherwise noted.
Alloy 926 maintains useful mechanical properties at elevated temperatures up to approximately 400°C (752°F), with VdTÜV approval for pressure vessel applications from -196°C to 400°C.
Alloy 926 is a high-performance super-austenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments.
The combination of 6-7% molybdenum and 0.15-0.25% nitrogen provides exceptional resistance to localized corrosion in chloride-containing environments. The Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) is greater than 33, significantly higher than 316L (PREN ~25) and 904L (PREN ~32).
With 24-26% nickel content, Alloy 926 fasteners have excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, making them ideal for marine environments, seawater desalination, and offshore applications.
Excellent resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and organic acids, even when contaminated with chlorides. Copper addition (0.5-1.5%) enhances resistance to reducing acids. Widely used in phosphoric acid production evaporators and heat exchangers.
Outstanding performance in marine environments, including seawater desalination systems, offshore platforms, and fire extinguishing systems. Resists pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-laden seawater.
Alloy 926 fasteners are supplied in the solution annealed condition for optimum corrosion resistance. Solution annealing should be performed at 1150-1200°C (2102-2192°F), preferably at 1170°C (2138°F), followed by rapid water quenching.
The alloy has minimal tendency to form intermetallic phases compared to similar steels with only 18% nickel content. However, improper heat treatment or exposure to temperatures between 600-1000°C can lead to precipitation of molybdenum-rich phases, chromium depletion zones, and reduced corrosion resistance. All fasteners are fully solution annealed and rapidly quenched to ensure optimal performance.
For critical applications requiring exceptional corrosion resistance in aggressive environments, RAYCHIN offers Alloy 926 fasteners manufactured to ASTM, ASME, NACE, and customer-specific specifications. Our capabilities include:
