RAYCHIN LIMITED is a leading manufacturer of Inconel Shoulder Bolts – precision fasteners designed to serve as pivot points, shafts, and guides for rotating or sliding components. Also known as stripper bolts, these fasteners feature a three-part design: a head (typically socket or hex) for torque application, a precision-ground unthreaded shoulder that acts as a bearing surface, and a threaded shaft for secure mounting. Manufactured from premium nickel‑chromium superalloys, they deliver exceptional high‑temperature strength up to 1150°C, outstanding oxidation resistance, and immunity to chloride‑ion stress corrosion cracking. Our portfolio includes all standard and custom configurations manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards. Whether you require Inconel 718 shoulder bolts for aerospace actuators, Inconel 625 shoulder bolts for marine pivot mechanisms, or Inconel 600 shoulder bolts for nuclear guide systems, RAYCHIN delivers precision, quality, and full traceability. All mechanical properties are presented in MPa and ksi (kilopound per square inch).
Inconel shoulder bolts consist of three precision-machined sections: the head (socket, hex, or slotted) for torque transmission; the unthreaded shoulder, ground to tight tolerances (±0.025mm / ±0.001") to act as a bearing surface for rotating parts; and the threaded shaft for secure mounting. The shoulder diameter is slightly larger than the thread major diameter, allowing assembled components to rotate freely on the shoulder without contacting the threads.
Available head styles: socket head (most common, per ASME B18.3), hex head (per ASME B18.2.1), low-profile hex, and slotted head. Drive types: hex socket (Allen), hex wrench, and slotted. Custom drive depths and tamper-resistant options available. Socket head sizes from .050" to 3/8" (1.5mm to 10mm).
Inconel shoulder bolts available with shoulder diameters from 1/8" to 1" (M3 to M24) and shoulder lengths from 1/8" to 6" (3mm to 150mm). Thread sizes from #2 to 5/8" (M2 to M16) with UNC, UNF, and metric coarse threads. Precision-ground shoulder ensures concentricity within 0.05mm TIR. Full thread standard; custom shoulder/thread ratios available.
Our Inconel shoulder bolts meet NAS1802 (hex head), applicable sections of NAS1351/1352 (socket head), and MS standards for shoulder bolt configurations. Full compliance with AMS 5662 (718), AMS 5666 (625), and AMS 5665 (600) for material and heat treatment. Used in flight control actuators, landing gear mechanisms, and missile guidance systems.
Inconel shoulder bolts for oil & gas, chemical processing, and power generation manufactured to ASTM B166 (600/601), ASTM B446 (625), ASTM B637 (718/X-750), API 20F, and NACE MR0175/ISO 15156. Supplied with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certifications and full NDT (PMI, UT, MPI) upon request.
Need a special shoulder length, unique head style, or proprietary drive? RAYCHIN engineers design and produce custom Inconel shoulder bolts to your exact specifications – any Inconel grade, any heat treat condition (annealed, aged), with full material traceability. Prototype to production volumes supported.
Inconel 718 shoulder bolts used in flight control actuators, landing gear pivot points, missile fin actuators, and thrust reverser mechanisms. The precision shoulder serves as a bearing surface for rotating components under extreme loads and temperatures up to 700°C. Inconel 718 fasteners were critical components in the Space Shuttle program, demonstrating unparalleled reliability.
Inconel 625 shoulder bolts and Inconel 718 shoulder bolts qualified per NACE MR0175 for subsea actuator pivot points, valve linkage mechanisms, and blowout preventer assemblies. Resist sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and pitting in H₂S/CO₂ environments. Precision shoulder ensures smooth operation under high pressure.
Inconel shoulder bolts in gas turbine linkage systems, steam turbine governor mechanisms, and nuclear control rod guide systems. Maintain dimensional stability after thousands of thermal cycles from -200°C to 700°C. Non-magnetic properties ideal for sensitive instrumentation mounts.
Inconel 625 shoulder bolts resist boiling sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and chlorinated solvents in reactor agitator linkages, pump pivot mechanisms, and valve actuator systems. Immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking ensures long-term reliability. Precision shoulder allows smooth rotation in aggressive media.
Inconel shoulder bolts in seawater pump linkages, rudder pivot mechanisms, and subsea manipulator arms resist pitting and crevice corrosion in saltwater. Ground shoulder provides reliable bearing surface even after years of continuous immersion.
Inconel shoulder bolts in high-temperature oven conveyors, furnace door linkages, and automated assembly equipment. Withstand repeated thermal cycling while maintaining precise alignment. Superior galling resistance ensures repeated disassembly without thread damage.
RAYCHIN LIMITED manufactures Inconel shoulder bolts from material conforming to the most widely used national and international specifications. All material is traceable to the mill.
Our Inconel shoulder bolts are produced from melts conforming to the following limits per ASTM/ASME/AMS.
Metallurgical note: High nickel content (≥50%) provides exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Chromium (14–23%) ensures oxidation resistance up to 1150°C. Molybdenum (in 625) and Nb+Ti (in 718/X-750) contribute to solid‑solution strengthening and precipitation hardening, giving these Inconel shoulder bolts their signature high‑temperature strength and corrosion resistance. Inconel 718's precipitation-hardened condition provides yield strengths exceeding 1035 MPa, ideal for high-stress pivot applications.
Inconel shoulder bolts are supplied in solution annealed (600, 625, 601) or age‑hardened (718, X‑750) condition per specification. Data represent typical values based on ASTM, AMS, and industry standards. ksi values (kilopound per square inch) are provided alongside MPa.
Inconel superalloys retain significant strength at elevated temperatures, making Inconel shoulder bolts ideal for gas turbine linkages, furnace door pivots, and exhaust system components. Data below demonstrate the superiority of Inconel 718, 625, and 601 for high‑T applications.
At 650°C, Inconel 718 retains about 80% of its room‑temperature tensile strength, outperforming many other alloys. Inconel 625 and 601 provide outstanding resistance to oxidation and carburization at even higher temperatures, making them excellent choices for high‑temperature shoulder bolts.
The high nickel and chromium content imparts resistance to a wide range of corrosive media: chlorides, acids, and alkalis. Inconel 625 and Inconel 718 shoulder bolts are particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and sour environments.
All Inconel shoulder bolts are manufactured and tested to meet:
We offer surface finishes: passivation (ASTM A967), silver plating (AMS 2410 for anti‑seize), PTFE coating, electropolish, and ground finish on shoulder (Ra 0.4µm or better). Full traceability and destructive/non‑destructive testing available (UT, MPI, PMI).
