Monel Torx Screws: Nickel-Copper Alloy Star Drive Screws for Extreme Corrosive Environments

Monel 400 (UNS N04400) | Monel K-500 (UNS N05500) | Ni-Cu Solid Solution / Precipitation-Hardening Alloys

RAYCHIN LIMITED is a leading manufacturer of Monel Torx Screws – precision threaded fasteners engineered from nickel-copper alloys, delivering exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, and reliable performance in the most demanding marine, chemical, and industrial environments. Torx screws (also known as star drive or hexalobular screws) feature a 6-point star-shaped pattern that provides superior torque transmission, reduces cam-out, and minimizes driver bit wear compared to Phillips or slotted drives . The Torx drive system handles high torque and minimizes driver slippage, with a compact head style ideal for applications with limited space . Monel alloys, among the first nickel-based alloys developed commercially, maintain a single solid-solution phase (or precipitation-hardened structure in K-500) that resists attack from a range of corrosive media that would damage both carbon steel and stainless steel . Our portfolio includes all standard and custom configurations manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards, including ASTM F467/F468, ASME B18.3, and ISO 10664. Whether you require Monel 400 Torx screws for marine instrumentation and piping systems, Monel K-500 Torx screws for high-strength oil & gas downhole tools, or custom nickel-copper fasteners for chemical processing, RAYCHIN delivers precision, quality, and full traceability. Monel Torx Screws – Design & Configurations

Torx Drive System

Monel Torx screws feature a 6-point star-shaped pattern (hexalobular drive) that provides increased torque capability and superior torque transfer between driver and fastener . Unlike Phillips heads designed to cam-out (prevent overtightening), Torx screws resist cam-out, reducing driver slippage and wear on driver bits . This design also offers increased tamper resistance as star drivers are less common than Phillips or slotted drives . Available in standard Torx and tamper-resistant Torx with center pin .

Head Styles

Monel Torx screws are available in various head configurations to suit specific applications: pan head for general-purpose fastening, flat head for flush-mount applications, button head for low-profile installations, and socket head for high-torque requirements. Custom head styles available upon request. All head styles feature the Torx drive recess for consistent torque transmission.
