RAYCHIN LIMITED is a premier manufacturer of Alloy 330 Vented Screws. Specifically engineered for high‑vacuum furnace environments, these screws feature a precision-drilled axial vent hole that allows trapped gases to escape from blind threaded holes, eliminating virtual leaks and accelerating pump-down times. Our Alloy 330 vented screws withstand oxidation, carburization, and thermal shock up to 1150°C. Available in socket head, hex head, and button head configurations, with matching vented washers. Manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN, KS – or fully custom to your drawing.
Alloy 330 socket head vented screws combine the strength of a socket cap with a precision axial vent hole. Ideal for confined spaces in vacuum furnaces and UHV systems.
Sizes: #0 to 1" (M1.6 to M24)
Vent diameters: 0.5mm to 3mm
Alloy 330 hex head vented screws provide easy tool access and high torque capacity. The axial vent ensures complete gas evacuation from deep blind holes.
Sizes: #4 to 1-1/2" (M3 to M36)
Alloy 330 button head vented screws offer a low-profile head for clearance-limited assemblies while maintaining the venting function.
Drives: Hex socket, Torx available
Alloy 330 flat head vented screws provide flush mounting with 82° or 90° countersink. The vent exits through the head for complete outgassing.
Alloy 330 vented washers feature radial grooves or drilled canals to vent trapped gases beneath the screw head. Used in combination with standard or vented screws.
Alloy 330 custom vented screws manufactured to customer prints: special head styles, multiple vent holes, cross-drilled vents, and shoulder screw configurations.
What is a virtual leak? In vacuum systems, trapped gases in blind threaded holes, cracks, or crevices slowly outgas into the chamber, mimicking a real leak and prolonging pump-down times. These virtual leaks can compromise process integrity and yield.
How Alloy 330 vented screws solve this: A precision-drilled axial vent hole through the center of the screw provides a direct path for trapped gases to escape from the bottom of blind holes. When used with vented washers, even gases under the screw head are evacuated, ensuring complete degassing.
Benefits in high-temperature vacuum furnaces:
Vent sizes: 0.3mm to 5mm diameter, precision drilled or EDM machined.
Our Alloy 330 Vented Screws are manufactured from material meeting these worldwide specifications:
UNS N08330 1.4886 X12NiCrSi35-16 ASTM B511 AMS 5592 AMS 5716 SUH330 NAS 330 AN 330
Our Alloy 330 vented screws are produced from certified melts conforming to ASTM B511 / B536 limits:
All vented screws are supplied in the solution annealed condition (1038‑1066°C / water quench). Minimum tensile requirements per ASTM B511 for bar stock used in fasteners:
Alloy 330 is specifically formulated for elevated temperature service. The following data represent short‑time elevated temperature yield strength (0.2% offset) and stress rupture properties:
Oxidation resistance: Continuous service in air up to 1150°C (2100°F); excellent resistance to scaling, carburization, and nitriding. The alloy remains fully austenitic at all temperatures, ensuring dimensional stability.
While Alloy 330 is optimized for high‑temperature environments, it offers good resistance to many corrosive conditions:
Our Alloy 330 vented screws are CNC machined from solution-annealed bar stock. Vent holes are precision drilled or EDM-machined to exact diameters with controlled depth and concentricity. Each lot undergoes solution annealing (1038‑1066°C) and water quenching to guarantee optimum high‑temperature properties. Deburring and passivation ensure no contamination in vacuum applications.
Full traceability from melt to finished product. Certificates EN 10204 3.1/3.2. NDT (PT, MT, UT) available on request. Our quality system: ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D. We also comply with NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN, KS, JIS, GB. Custom vent designs welcome.
Our Alloy 330 vented screws are widely used in demanding high‑vacuum and high‑temperature assemblies where trapped gases must be eliminated:
We also supply matching Alloy 330 hex nuts, vented washers, and threaded rods for complete high‑temperature vacuum bolting sets.
