Monel bolts available in hex head (finished hex, heavy hex), socket head cap (ASME B18.3, DIN 912), flange head, T-bolts, U-bolts, and eye bolts. Sizes #4 to 4" (M3 to M100). UNC, UNF, metric threads. Full thread or partial thread options. ASTM F468, ASTM B164, DIN 931/933, ISO 4014 compliant.
Monel nuts include hex nuts, heavy hex nuts, jam nuts, lock nuts (nylon insert, all-metal prevailing torque), slotted nuts, castle nuts, and flange nuts. Sizes #2 to 4" (M2 to M100). Conform to ASME B18.2.2, DIN 934, ISO 4032, ASTM F467. Monel K500 nuts available in age-hardened condition.
Monel screws include socket head cap screws, flat head screws (82°/100°), button head screws, pan head screws, and set screws (cup point, flat point, cone point). Precision rolled threads. Sizes #0 to 1½" (M1.6 to M36). Conform to DIN 912, ISO 4762, ASME B18.3.
Monel washers include flat washers (ANSI B18.22.1, DIN 125, ISO 7089), split lock washers (ASME B18.21.1, DIN 127), tooth lock washers (internal/external), and spring washers (Belleville, curved, wave). Sizes #2 to 2" (M2 to M48). Custom stampings available.
Monel stud bolts (double-end and fully threaded) with equal or unequal thread lengths. Conform to ASTM B164, ASTM F468, API 20F. Available with two heavy hex nuts and washers. Sizes #4 to 3" (M3 to M76). NACE MR0175 compliant for sour service. Ideal for flanged connections in chemical and marine applications.
Monel threaded rods (fully threaded continuous rod) available in standard lengths up to 3m (10ft) or custom cut-to-length. Sizes #4 to 2" (M3 to M48). UNC, UNF, metric threads. Precision rolled threads for superior fatigue life. Ideal for custom fastening, hangers, and tie rods in corrosive environments.
Monel 400 fasteners are the standard choice for seawater applications, including propeller shafts, pump components, valve stems, and subsea control modules. Corrosion rates below 0.025 mm/year in seawater. Used extensively in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and desalination plants. Outlasts stainless steel 3-5x in marine environments.
Monel K500 fasteners qualified per NACE MR0175 for wellhead equipment, valve bonnets, subsea actuators, and BOP assemblies. Resist sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and pitting in H₂S/CO₂ environments. Monel K500 provides yield strengths up to 790 MPa (115 ksi) in age-hardened condition, ideal for high-pressure applications.
Monel fasteners resist hydrofluoric acid (HF) – Monel 400 is the standard material for HF alkylation units. Also excellent for sulfuric acid (>80%), deaerated hydrochloric acid (low concentrations), phosphoric acid, and alkalis (caustic soda, potash). Used in reactor agitators, pump shafts, and valve assemblies.
Monel fasteners in feedwater heaters, steam turbine components, and nuclear reactor internals. Resist high-purity water corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Monel 400 offers excellent performance in both fossil and nuclear power plants. Maximum service temperature up to 480°C.
Monel K500 fasteners used in aircraft engines, rocket motor casings, and military hardware. Non-magnetic and spark-resistant properties make them ideal for ordnance applications. Maintain strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures down to -200°C.
Monel fasteners used in digesters, liquor heaters, and salt evaporators. Resist chloride-induced corrosion in bleach plants and brine handling systems. Doctor blades and scrapers in pulp processing often made from Monel K500.

Metallurgical note: Monel 400 is a solid-solution strengthened alloy with excellent corrosion resistance across a wide range of media. Monel K500 adds aluminum and titanium to enable precipitation hardening (aging), achieving yield strengths exceeding 690 MPa (100 ksi) while maintaining the same corrosion resistance as Monel 400. Both alloys are non-magnetic to cryogenic temperatures and exhibit low permeability.
Monel fasteners are supplied in solution annealed (Monel 400) or age‑hardened (Monel K500) condition per specification. Data represent typical values based on ASTM, ASME, and industry standards. ksi values (kilopound per square inch) are provided alongside MPa.
Monel alloys retain useful mechanical properties at elevated temperatures up to 480°C (900°F), making them suitable for many industrial applications. Data below demonstrate the performance characteristics.
Note: Above 480°C, Monel alloys may experience over-aging and loss of strength. For continuous service above this temperature, consider higher nickel alloys such as Inconel.
