Nitronic 50 exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride‑containing media. Nitronic 60 bolts are specified for valve stems, pump shafts, and agitator components where galling resistance and corrosion resistance are required simultaneously. Used in heat exchanger flanges, vessel internals, and piping systems.
Nitronic bolts qualified for downhole tooling components, wellhead equipment, and high‑pressure valve systems in refineries and petrochemical plants. Nitronic 50 meets NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156‑3 requirements for sour service up to HRC 35. Nitronic 60 (ASTM A193 B8S) is widely used for high‑strength bolting in pressure vessels and piping systems. Excellent resistance to sulfidation and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Used in offshore platforms, subsea equipment, and FPSO vessels.
Nitronic bolts in marine hardware, propeller shafts, pump components, and offshore platform equipment. Nitronic 50 provides superior resistance to seawater corrosion, with pitting resistance equivalent to much higher alloyed materials (PRE 34‑38). It remains non‑magnetic even after severe cold working, essential for marine instrumentation and underwater fasteners. Nitronic 60 bolts are used in boat shafting, marine valve stems, and rudder components where galling resistance in saltwater environments is critical.
Nitronic bolts in gas turbine components, nuclear power plants, and steam turbine assemblies. Nitronic alloys offer high strength at elevated temperatures (up to 600°C for Nitronic 50, up to 1100°F/593°C for Nitronic 32) with good oxidation resistance.
