RAYCHIN LIMITED is a leading manufacturer of Inconel Lock Nuts – precision fasteners designed to resist loosening under vibration, thermal cycling, and dynamic loads. These Inconel self-locking nuts are available in multiple configurations: nylon insert lock nuts (for reusable, vibration-resistant applications), all-metal prevailing torque lock nuts (for high-temperature service up to 700°C+), serrated flange lock nuts (for increased bearing surface and locking action), and slotted hex lock nuts (for castle/cotter pin applications). Manufactured from premium nickel‑chromium superalloys, they deliver exceptional high‑temperature strength up to 1150°C, outstanding oxidation resistance, and immunity to chloride‑ion stress corrosion cracking. Our portfolio includes all standard and custom configurations manufactured to NAS, AN, MS, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, SAE, API, NACE, ISO, DIN and KS standards. Whether you require Inconel 718 lock nuts for aerospace turbine assemblies, Inconel 625 lock nuts for offshore platforms, or Inconel 600 lock nuts for nuclear applications, RAYCHIN delivers precision, quality, and full traceability. All mechanical properties are presented in MPa and ksi (kilopound per square inch).
Inconel nylon insert lock nuts feature a non-metallic locking element that provides prevailing torque by deforming threads. Ideal for applications requiring repeated removal and installation. Temperature rating limited to 120°C (250°F) due to nylon. Available in hex, heavy hex, and thin patterns. Sizes #4 to 1½" (M3 to M36).
Inconel all-metal lock nuts achieve locking through controlled thread distortion (elliptical, slotted, or top-lock designs). Suitable for high-temperature service up to 700°C+ (1300°F+). Grades 718 and X-750 commonly used for aerospace and gas turbine applications. Meets MS21042, MS21043, MS21045, MS21046, and NAS3350 specifications.
Inconel serrated flange lock nuts combine a wide flange with serrations on the bearing surface that bite into the mating material, providing vibration resistance without additional locking elements. Ideal for high-vibration environments where space is limited. Available in standard and thin patterns.
Inconel slotted hex lock nuts (castle nuts) feature slots that align with a drilled hole in the bolt for cotter pin insertion. Positive mechanical locking for critical assemblies such as landing gear and control linkages. Conforms to AN310, AN320, MS17825, MS17826.
Our Inconel lock nuts meet NAS1291, NAS1292, NAS1802, MS21042, MS21043, MS21045, MS21046, MS17825, MS17826, AN310, AN320, AN363, AN364, AN365. Full compliance with AMS 5662 (718), AMS 5666 (625), and AMS 5665 (600) for material and heat treatment. Silver plating per AMS 2410 available for anti-galling and high-temperature anti-seize.
Need a special locking element, non-standard thread, or proprietary marking? RAYCHIN engineers design and produce custom Inconel lock nuts to your exact specifications – any Inconel grade, any heat treat condition (annealed, aged), with full material traceability. Prototype to production volumes supported.
Inconel 718 lock nuts used in turbine engine assemblies, landing gear, flight control systems, and missile components. Withstand 650°C operating temperatures and extreme vibration. Self-locking mechanism prevents loosening under high-G maneuvers. Specified in EN 4123, EN 4047, DIN EN 4047 for MJ threads with 1550 MPa classification.
Inconel 625 lock nuts and Inconel 718 lock nuts qualified per NACE MR0175 for wellhead equipment, valve bonnets, and subsea actuators. Resist sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and pitting in H₂S/CO₂ environments. All-metal lock designs ensure reliable locking at elevated temperatures.
Inconel lock nuts in gas turbines, steam turbines, and nuclear reactors provide reliable locking of casings, flanges, and sensor mounts. Maintain clamping force after thousands of thermal cycles from -200°C to 700°C without relaxation. Nylon insert designs for low-temperature auxiliary systems.
Inconel 625 lock nuts resist boiling sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and chlorinated solvents in reactor agitators, pump shafts, and valve assemblies. All-metal locking element ensures long-term reliability in aggressive media without risk of polymer degradation.
Inconel lock nuts in seawater pump couplings, propeller shaft locking devices, and subsea control modules resist pitting and crevice corrosion in saltwater. Serrated flange designs provide locking without adhesives in high-vibration marine environments.
Inconel 718 lock nuts used in high-performance exhaust manifold couplings, turbocharger wastegate linkages, and brake caliper mechanisms. Reliable locking under extreme thermal cycling from -40°C to 900°C.
RAYCHIN LIMITED manufactures Inconel lock nuts from material conforming to the most widely used national and international specifications. All material is traceable to the mill.
Our Inconel lock nuts are produced from melts conforming to the following limits per ASTM/ASME/AMS.
Metallurgical note: High nickel content (≥50%) provides exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Chromium (14–23%) ensures oxidation resistance up to 1150°C. Molybdenum (in 625) and Nb+Ti (in 718/X-750) contribute to solid‑solution strengthening and precipitation hardening, giving these Inconel lock nuts their signature high‑temperature strength and corrosion resistance.
Inconel lock nuts are supplied in solution annealed (600, 625) or age‑hardened (718, X‑750) condition per specification. Data represent typical minimum or range values based on ASTM, AMS, and industry standards. ksi values (kilopound per square inch) are provided alongside MPa.
Inconel superalloys retain significant strength at elevated temperatures, making Inconel lock nuts ideal for gas turbines, furnace assemblies, and exhaust systems. Data below demonstrate the suitability of each grade for high‑temperature locking applications.
At 650°C, Inconel 718 retains about 80% of its room‑temperature tensile strength, making it the preferred choice for high-temperature locking applications where maximum prevailing torque must be maintained.
The high nickel and chromium content imparts resistance to a wide range of corrosive media: chlorides, acids, and alkalis. Inconel 625 and Inconel 718 lock nuts are particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and sour environments.
All Inconel lock nuts are manufactured and tested to meet:
We offer surface finishes: passivation (ASTM A967), silver plating (AMS 2410 for anti‑seize), PTFE coating, and electropolish. Full traceability and destructive/non‑destructive testing available (UT, MPI, PMI).
