These specifications define precise head dimensions, 12-point socket configuration, and material requirements for critical aerospace assemblies. Available in inch sizes with UNJF-3A threads. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) per AMS 4928 provides tensile strength of 150 ksi (1035 MPa) in STA condition. Used in aircraft structural joints, engine mounts, and landing gear attachments.
Titanium 12 point screws conforming to MS 16992 (flush head) and MS 16993 (protruding head). These military standards specify 12-point drive, flange head design, and corrosion-resistant steel or titanium construction. Manufactured from Grade 5 titanium with silver plating per AMS 2410 for anti‑seize and galvanic corrosion prevention. Widely used in military aircraft, helicopters, and defense systems where reliability in extreme environments is critical.
Titanium metric 12 point screws manufactured to customer specifications based on ISO and DIN standards. Available with coarse or fine threads, diameters from M4 to M36, and lengths up to 200mm. Designed for European aerospace, automotive racing, and industrial applications requiring the 12-point drive advantage. Grade 5 provides high strength; Grade 2 offers superior corrosion resistance for marine applications.
Titanium 12 point flange screws feature an integral flange under the head that distributes clamping load over a wider area, eliminating the need for a separate washer. Available with serrated or smooth flange face. Ideal for high‑vibration applications such as engine components, transmission assemblies, and racing drivetrains. The 12-point drive allows higher installation torques while maintaining a compact head profile.
Need special head configurations, extra‑long lengths, non‑standard thread forms, or proprietary drives? Titanium 12 point screws are extensively used in aircraft fuselage splices, wing attachments, engine mounts, and landing gear assemblies. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) screws offer tensile strength up to 1100 MPa at 60% the weight of steel, providing critical weight savings in flight-critical applications. The 12-point drive allows higher preloads and better torque control compared to hex or socket heads. Used in commercial aircraft (Boeing, Airbus), military jets (F-35, F-18), and helicopter transmissions. Compliant with NAS 624, NAS 625, and AMS 4967.
Titanium 12 point screws in Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR, and high‑performance automotive builds. Weight reduction of unsprung and rotating mass improves handling, acceleration, and fuel efficiency. Titanium connecting rod bolts, flywheel bolts, driveshaft bolts, and suspension fasteners use 12-point heads for maximum torque capability in tight spaces. Grade 5 screws withstand high temperatures in exhaust systems and turbocharger applications up to 400°C. The 12-point design resists rounding in high-torque, high-vibration environments.
Titanium 12 point screws in shipbuilding, submarine components, offshore platforms, and marine propulsion systems. Titanium is virtually immune to seawater corrosion, with no measurable attack after decades of immersion. Grade 2 screws provide excellent formability and corrosion resistance for non‑critical applications. Grade 5 offers higher strength for propeller shaft couplings, rudder assemblies, and underwater instrumentation housings. The 12-point drive allows reliable installation in confined shipboard spaces.
Titanium 12 point screws in armored vehicles, missile systems, and military electronics. Titanium's combination of light weight, high strength, and ballistic performance makes it ideal for weight-sensitive defense applications. MS 16992 and MS 16993 screws are specified for military aircraft and ground vehicle assemblies. Silver plating per AMS 2410 prevents galling and galvanic corrosion when mated with aluminum or magnesium components.
Titanium 12 point screws used in surgical instruments, orthopedic external fixators, and medical device assemblies. Grade 23 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) screws per ASTM F136 offer enhanced ductility and biocompatibility for applications requiring contact with human tissue. The 12-point drive provides precise torque control in delicate surgical procedures. Titanium's complete biocompatibility, non‑toxicity, and MRI compatibility make it the material of choice for medical applications.
Titanium 12 point screws in high-end racing bicycles, motorcycle racing, and motorsports. Weight reduction of every gram improves performance. Titanium 12 point screws are used in brake calipers, wheel hubs, suspension linkages, and engine mounts. Grade 5 provides strength comparable to steel at half the weight. The 12-point design allows use of smaller head sizes for clearance in compact racing components.

Our Titanium 12 point screws are produced from material conforming to the limits of applicable ASTM, AMS, and ISO standards. High‑purity grades available for medical and semiconductor applications.
Metallurgical note: Titanium is an allotropic element with a hexagonal close-packed (α) structure at room temperature, transforming to body-centered cubic (β) at 882°C. CP grades are α-phase, while alloying with aluminum stabilizes α-phase, and vanadium/molybdenum stabilize β-phase. Ti-6Al-4V is an α+β alloy combining high strength with good ductility. The natural oxide layer (TiO₂) is 2-5 nm thick, self‑healing, and responsible for titanium's exceptional corrosion resistance. Titanium is non‑magnetic with magnetic permeability <1.00005.
Titanium 12 point screws are supplied in appropriate conditions (annealed for CP grades, solution treated and aged for Grade 5) per ASTM B348, ASTM F136, and customer specifications. Data represent typical values based on industry standards.
Note: Prolonged exposure above 300°C may cause oxidation; protective coatings recommended above 500°C.
Titanium alloys retain significant strength at elevated temperatures up to 500°C, making them suitable for aerospace and automotive applications. Ti-6Al-4V maintains useful mechanical properties up to 315°C (600°F) for extended service, and up to 500°C (932°F) for short-term exposure. The alloy exhibits excellent creep resistance at moderate temperatures. However, titanium becomes increasingly reactive with oxygen above 500°C, forming an oxygen-enriched brittle α-case layer that degrades fatigue life. For applications above 500°C, protective coatings (such as TiAlN) or high-temperature alloys (Ti-6242, Ti-1100) are recommended. Titanium's melting point (1660°C) is higher than steel, but oxidation limits practical use in air. The 12-point head design maintains drive integrity at elevated temperatures, unlike polymer inserts that may degrade.
Note: Titanium alloys are susceptible to "alpha case" formation above 500°C in air, which embrittles the surface.
Titanium is renowned for its outstanding corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, often exceeding that of stainless steels and nickel alloys. The protective TiO₂ oxide film (2-5 nm thick) is stable in oxidizing media and rapidly self‑heals if damaged. Titanium is virtually immune to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments up to 200°C.
All Titanium 12 point screws are manufactured and tested to meet the following standards:
